About Winding Hall Publishers

The Beginnings

It all started with a love of books. 

The idea for building a publishing company began years before its actual creation. A desire to discover new writers and a realization that many writers weren't comfortable with the self-publishing route led to our determination to build the best small press publishing company possible. Winding Hall Publishers, founded in early 2017, is the result. 

We are new--and we are eager. Eager to discover and promote new authors; eager to publish better versions of classic and out-of-print books than anyone else out there; and eager to help incarcerated authors get their word out to the world through our pilot project imprint, Word Out Books.

Our Calling

To create books--to take the raw material of words on paper and turn them into a book people will love to read--takes a true love of books. 

It is a calling.

At Winding Hall Publishers we take this calling very seriously. We publish books by authors from all walks of life. You may never have heard of them, or they may have been famous for centuries. But you will know when you hold in your hand a book created by Winding Hall Publishers, we have crafted that book with love.
